Good news on OF Tyler Austin: he just has a big bruise and will be fine according to Josh Norris. He left last night’s game after apparently attempting to break up a double-play while sliding into second. Exhale.
In other injury news, Norris says RHP Ben Paullus has been placed on the DL (mystery injury) and VP of Baseball Ops Mark Newman confirmed that RHP Danny Burawa (torn oblique) still isn’t close to returning to game action. RHP D.J. Mitchell made this week’s Prospect Hot Sheet … in the Not So Hot section. Tough crowd, he only lost one game.
